Trinity Gardens Almshouses in Stockton

The Trinity Gardens Almshouses became part of the Hopsital of God in July 2010 and we are now in the process of reducing the number of bedsits and creating more one and two bedroom flats. We are also fitting walk in showers where possible.  In addition we are revitalising the common room, warden call system and entrance areas.

There is a warden on duty each weekday who supports residents to live independently and when she is off duty all the flats are connected to the local authority emergency call system. There is also a lively social scene with activities and events for those that wish to take part.

Trinity Gardens residents occupy their homes under a licence to occupy and pay a contribution to the running and maintenance costs. This is called the weekly Maintenance Contribution and is paid instead of rent. The current range of maintenance contributions is between £87 and £125 per week.

Included within this contribution is all maintenance, water rates and the warden service.

Subject to an individual’s financial circumstances they may qualify for housing allowance from the local authority.
