The Hospital of God property portfolio:
The Hospital of God has almshouses in Greatham, Stockton and Norton. The houses are varied, some being bungalows, others flats and others apartments.
Almshouses are for people over 60 years of age with modest financial needs. The almshouses are available to anyone wherever they live – there is no requirement to live locally.
The application form seeks to find out if there are any special housing needs that we need to take into account. An application form can either be downloaded below or obtained from the Estate Office.

The Hospital of God owns about 75 houses in Greatham and these are available to let to the general public.
Greatham with its semi-rural location, proximity to Hartlepool, well regarded primary school, and local facilities is seen as a good place to live, particularly for families.
There is a steady demand for these properties and about 4 to 6 become vacant each year. The Hospital of God allocates properties on the basis of its ability to provide a suitable house for the applicant and the suitability of the applicant as a Hospital of God tenant.
